Placenta Encapsulation to Fight “Baby Blues” and to Increase Milk Supply

Have you ever heard of placenta encapsulation? It has been around for thousands of years among the Chinese and Vietnamese to support the healing process of the mother after childbirth.  The placenta is believed to be very rich in nutrients and minerals, such as vitamin B6, iron and protein, and therefore, to posses especial properties to fight depression after birth and to keep up your milk supply.

In my personal experience, I did find that taking my placenta caps after birth helped me to heal faster and to keep my milk supply.  Also, I did not experience any baby blues during or after taking the pills.  One additional benefit of encapsulating your placenta is that you may even freeze it and use it when your first signs of menopause kick in!

Since your placenta is produced by your own body, this is a true holistic postpartum pill that you can take without regrets!!

Matrix Energetics and Pregnancy

About two weeks before giving birth, I adventured myself to a Matrix Energetics seminar for levels 1, 2, and 3.  I had  heard about Matrix Energetics through a dear friend, and I immediately became interested in it. It basically teaches people to believe in the power of transformation and healing available in the universe, while describing reality as light and information where anything is possible. And it is!

The seminars, conducted by Dr. Richard Bartlett, are great for everyone regardless of their spiritual inclinations or beliefs.  Dr. Bartlett helps you to tap onto that pond of possibilities that can make your life change for the better.  The key is first connecting to your heart, the Chakra that is connected to this realm of endless possibilities, and then unleashing all this power onto your realty. The universe knows better and has all the answers.

As a pregnant woman, my desire was to achieve a natural birth with the teachings of Hypnobirthing.  But that is not how Matrix Energetics works, as you cannot direct its power onto something in particular.  The transformation can happen in any area of your body or your life.  You just release the power and let it do its workings.

At the seminar, Dr. Bartlett asked me to come to the stage and he asked me what I wanted to change.  I felt I was feeling anxious about my birth, and in fact, I was just anxious all the time even before being pregnant.  I told him I felt my brain was very full of ideas and thoughts and it felt like a heavy weight sitting on top of my head.  Dr. Bartlett applied the techniques of Matrix Energetics on me and I could feel how the energy that came into me changed the way I was feeling.

Not only did the seminar helped me to feel more confident about birthing my baby, but it also gave me the power to change those things I disliked in my life just by applying Matrix Energetics and noticing the changes.

On the day of my baby’s birth, my friend who also attended the Matrix Energetics seminar was next to me for a while applying the techniques we learned and I know for a fact that it did make a difference on me.

Reality manifest in your life they way you expect it to manifest.  If you want to believe you will feel lots of pain, sure you will do.  You are already expecting it to come, so it does.  On the contrary, if you focus your attention onto something else other than pain then you make a change.  If your attention is not with the pain anymore than the pain ceases to exist!

Coming Across with Hypnobirthing

I have always been very careful about my health.  I try to eat as healthy as possible and I also drag myself to the gym at least three times a week.  When I became pregnant I decided that it was a must to keep up with my healthy food choices and active lifestyle.

Nonetheless, if I was going to start eating  more organic foods and doing prenatal yoga DVDs at home, then why would I get an epidural and other bunch of drugs just at the end of the pregnancy?  Why messing it all up at the end?  That’s how I started researching about natural birth choices and came across with Hypnobirthing.

At the beginning I thought Hypnobirthing was just some Marketed concept to sell you a course and couple of CDs.  My husband was also not supportive about the whole idea of going drugs free through the whole birthing process.  He believed I was too weak to endure such an ordeal.  Nonetheless, by coincidence we met a couple that had just had a baby by following the techniques taught in Hypnobirthing and that is how my husband and I decided to enroll in one course.

The course we attended was a very small class of three couples, all looking forward to learn the techniques that would allow them to attain the birthing they just dreamt about.

In the course we learned visualization, relaxation, and breathing techniques that were the key during labor.  In addition, the course helped us built a closer relationship with our birthing partner by including him/her in the process.  My birthing partner was my husband, and he had to learn relaxation techniques and massage that would help through labor.

In addition to the techniques for birth, in the Hypnobirthing class we were taught a great deal of how the body works during pregnancy and labor.  This was one of my favorite parts of the course as it assured me that nature knows best and that the female body is just engineered to go through it.

I can say I left the course feeling empowered and believing that I was able to have a successful birthing experience.
